Running with Asha
Asha for Education is a volunteer run organization aiming to catalyze socio-economic change in India through education. The objectives of the group are:
- To provide access to education for underprivileged children in India
- To promote universal education and decrease child labor
- To support grass roots initiatives in deprived and marginalized communities in India
- To address, whenever possible, other issues affecting human life such as health care, environmental and socio-economic issues, women's issues, human rights issues, etc.

Running can be a regular fitness activity, however when done for a cause, it can make a tremendous impact in many lives.
India has made great strides in terms of economic growth in some parts yet in some areas, there is a lot of struggle to make ends meet. The children - future of every generation, suffer the most by losing out on education and therefore a hope for a better life.
Asha is totally driven by volunteers and this translates into donor funds reaching the projects with minimal overhead costs. Our efforts at Asha aim to bring back the hope and enable them to dream and achieve a better future through education.
I have personally helped with multiple projects in my ten years with Asha. My visits to some of the projects have inspired me to take up this half marathon and together with your help, channel the funds to provide the children with the right education.
