Hello,
Thanks for stopping by my fund-raising webpage for Asha for Education.
This year I have pledged to run the White rock half marathon & raise awareness for one of Asha’s projects: The Sarva Vidya Trust. Sarva Vidya Trust seeks to provide Nursing education & training for girl-children from economically handicapped families. This enables the girls to get employment as Nurses at local hospitals in the rural areas & thereby support their families.
This trust is based in Chennai, India, and is managed by a group of lady instructors who are Nurses themselves & have around 43+ years of combined clinical and teaching experience. Along with the academic aspect, Sarva Vidya also works with local hospitals to engage students in practical training and their future employment. More details can be found here: http://www.ashanet.org/projects/project-view.php?p=1012
I plan to raise $1300 to support the annual expenses of 4 students. The expenses are in the tune of $300/student, which covers the Instructor’s salaries, accomodation, books etc.
Please join me in supporting this project by making a tax deductible contribution to their cause. If you would like to donate towards Asha’s other projects, you can find the list here: http://www.ashanet.org/dallas/projects/index.html
Thank you!
Gaurav
